Washing the Head
When you move the machine or you do not use the machine for a long time (for one month and more), wash the
head and the ink discharge passage by the procedures below:

Press the key in the local mode.

Select the [MAINTENANCE] by pressing the or
key, and press the key.

Select the [HEAD WASH] by pressing the or
key, and press the key.

Press the , , or key to select the
head to wash.
(1) Select the head with or keys.
(2) Select execution/non-execution of the head cleaning with or keys.
Select execution of cleaning for every head.
Wash :Head No. being set is displayed.
Do not wash ì _ î is displayed.
When you wash all heads, display all head numbers.
When you wash the head one by one, display one head number (two).
• When you select the No.1 to the No.3 heads and the No.4 head (white ink) at the same time, after washing
of the No.1 to the No.3 heads have been completed, washing of the No.4 head is performed. (For F/W
Ver.3.03 and later of UJF-3042, No.4 head is washed at the same time.)

Press the key.

Remove the ink cartridge.
Remove all ink cartridges corresponding to the head selected in the Step 4.
When the ink cartridge is removed, ink discharge starts.
When ink discharge has been completed, the right screen is
displayed.
This machine is equipped with four heads.
To wash one head, four washing liquid cartridges (SPC-0516FS) are required at the minimum. Before
performing the work, prepare new washing liquid cartridge.
When you wash all heads at the same time, prepare eight washing liquid cartridges with third part of
them remains.
To restart drawing after washing the head, ink filling is required. ( P.4-28)
